Forest Ecology Virtual Field Trip

Description:

Students investigate the factors that affect forest ecosystems on a virtual field trip to a field station in Kananaskis Country. Through 360° rotatable images, interactive tools, videos and photographs they learn about field study tasks, collect samples, conduct tests, take measurements and record data to investigate why an aspen poplar forest grows on one area of a slope and a lodgepole pine forest covers another.
